•Spartan colony by Calchas, very fertile along
the Eurymedon river, was most
powerful and most populous city in Pisidia, wine and oil production as well as ointment from the
iris root. Ruins of gymnasium, stoa, stadium, basilica, but best preserved is the theatre
restored in the 3rd cent. AD
